Arroyo Aqua Farms

               Was organized
in 1990 and located at
the southern tip of
Texas. Its year round
semi--tropical climate
is ideal for algae, fish
and shrimp farming.
Years of researches
have determined that
this site is the best
Suited in the U.S. to
consistently produce
the very best quality
aquaculture products.

            Built adjacent to
the Arroyo Colorado
River, only four nautical
miles upstream from
the hyper saline Laguna
Madre Bay, the mixture
of a tidal salt wedge with
the fresher water of the
Arroyo Colorado gives
AAF the preferred salinity
for pond operations.The
water is rich in algae,
zooplankton and other
nutrients crucial to
optimum growth for
healthy and tasty products.

           We own more than
2,000 acres land for algae,
fish and shrimp production
which including 94 five-
-acre ponds and 63 ten-
-acre ponds, 200-acre
wetland for wastewater
purification and a 40,800
sq ft greenhouses.

Algae: The Next Biofuel

     Algae + CO 2 = Biofuel

     The Department of Energy's
National Renewable Energy
Laboratory, in studies done in
the 1990s, found algae can
produce more oil than soybeans
or canola. Algae would be
harvested and dried, then oil
would be extracted through
methods such as pressing.
There is no waste because
after the oil is removed, the
cake-like substance that
remains makes a high-quality
livestock feed.

     Sunny, frost-free days and
warm temperatures make
Arroyo City area an optimum
one for algae farming. Algae
can be produced on land not
suitable for traditional
agriculture, and do not impact
fresh water resources, and
can use ocean and wastewater.
